About the role
The Communications Assistant helps A-Goal Initiative explain complex governance issues in language people understand and want to share. You will work across our channels, turning policy analysis and data into clear, accurate content for the public.
This role suits a careful writer who enjoys both the craft of words and the pace of digital communication.
What you will do
- Write, edit and proofread content for social media, the website, newsletters and reports.
- Help manage A-Goal’s social media channels.
- Turn policy and governance data into clear public content.
- Support the production of graphics and short videos.
Who we are looking for
- Field of study: Communications, Journalism, Language Arts, Public Relations, English, Media Studies, Law, Development Studies or a related field.
- Good writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to develop clear and engaging content for social media, websites, newsletters, reports and other communication platforms.
- Basic understanding of social media management and digital communications.
- Ability to translate programme activities, research, complex policy or governance data into clear, relatable, engaging public-facing content.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
It helps if you have
- Familiarity with Canva, basic graphic design, video or content editing, or other digital communication tools.
- Previous experience with an NGO, media organisation, civic organisation or development programme.
